ISLAMABAD: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur Monday said Prime Minister Imran Khan had highlighted the Kashmir issue at international level giving a voice to the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
He was talking to a delegation led by the PTI Central Deputy Information Secretary Aamir Mughal at his office here. Referring to the Kashmir Solidarity Day-related activities, he said the prime minister was effectively raising the voice for IOK at every forum in the world and presenting the real picture of human rights violations in the valley.
The minister urged the international community to play vital role in resolving the long-standing issue of Kashmir as per the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
Gandapur lamented over the silence of world on the important issue in which millions of people remained deprived off their basic rights for many decades. He noted with concern that the Indian forces had crossed every limit of cruelty on more than millions of Kashmiris imprisoned illegally in the occupied valley. He condemned the on-going atrocities of Indian forces and deprivation of people of the valley from their basic rights.
The minister said the world and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be aware that Pakistan firmly stands with the people of IOK in this hour of need. “War is not solution to any problem, but the Pakistani nation is ready to fight till the last drop of blood and the last soldier if war was imposed on us,” he maintained.
