Three TTP terrorists arrested from Faisalabad

LAHORE:Three terrorists of banned Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were arrested by CTD in an intelligence based operation (IBO) conducted in Faisalabad on Monday.

A CTD team recovered explosives and arms from the terrorists. The CTD Faisalabad team got information that three terrorists of TTP were present near Gat Wala Bridge, Faisalabad City, along with explosive material and arms. On this information, the CTD team raided the area and arrested the terrorists who have been identified as Abdul Salam, Maodood Chisti and Ali Muhammad Khan. Recoveries include explosive material, safety fuse, three detonators, two pistols and 10 live bullets from the terrorists. They had a plan to attack personnel of law enforcement agencies (LEAs). They made important disclosures regarding a programme of the terrorist organisation in the region. Investigation has been launched after lodging a case in PS CTD Faisalabad.

record management : A meeting held to discuss progress in Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS) was chaired by CCPO Zulfiqar Hameed. The meeting was attended by SSP Admin Athar Waheed, SSP Investigation Zeeshan Asghar and SP Security Bilal Zafar.

Addressing the meeting, the CCPO said files and submission of cases will be written online under PSRMS. Investigation officers are being trained in phase-wise PSRMS. Record management system will be activated soon by removing technical flaws, he said and added under the PSRMS, FIR data could be included in rules and invoices, which would improve quality of investigation. He directed the PITB experts to link hotel I, travel I and PSRMS to the PSRMS. A record of various registers at police stations will also be automatically generated.
