Man killed, 5 hurt during crossfire
GUJRANWALA: A man was killed while five sustained injuries during crossfire between two groups at Nowshera Virkan on Monday. Reportedly, two groups of Kurlkay village opened fire at each other members over a girl issue. As a result, Muhammad Ghafoor died on the spot while Akram, Ghulam Mustafa, Usman, Danish and Azmat received bullet injuries and rushed to the DHQ Hospital.
ACCUSED INVOLVED IN TRIPLE MURDER CASE FLEES FROM COURT: An accused who was involved in a triple murder case fled from the court after rejection of his bail from the Anti-Terrorism Court. Accused Rafiq was involved in a triple murder case of former MPA Rana Shamshad and his companions. Later, the accused got bail from the ATC. On Monday, when his bail cancelled by the court, the accused fled from the court.
WOMAN GANG-RAPED: A woman was raped by three persons at Qila Didar Singh on Monday. The woman in her written application to the police said that she was standing on a bus stop when two accused forcibly took her to their house where a third person was also present. Later, the woman said, all the three men raped her. Police have arrested one accused identified as Qurban.
