The silence from the OIC on President Trump's Middle East peace plan, which is nothing more than a land grab, shows the lack of unity among Muslim countries. The OIC’s muted response is hardly unprecedented as it has remained silent on the Rohingya genocide, the ongoing occupation of Kashmir and even the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The OIC has also failed to stop or resolve the Syrian and Yemeni wars or improve relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
I think Pakistan should ask the OIC to condemn Trump’s ‘peace plan’. Pakistan should also propose to take over the OIC, revamp it and make it into an organization that will benefit Muslim nations. Furthermore it should actively work to resolve issues between Muslim nations and to provide a unified voice for the Muslim World. If the ruling members of the OIC do not agree to Pakistan proposals than it would be clear that the OIC is not useful and Pakistan should resign from the OIC and start a new organization for the Muslim world.
