LAHORE: The Lahore Art Council devoted the Wednesday evening to music and held the finale of the singing competition titled “Folk Music Competition,” a music talent hunt in which the younger generation took immense interest and enthusiastically performed at Hall II of Alhamra Arts Centre on The Mall.
Fifteen singers were selected for the final round of the Folk Music Competition after auditions of more than 100 singers from all over Punjab. The finalists presented their musical skills during the finale of the competition which met a huge round of applause from the audience.
MPA Mrs Musarat Cheema was the chief guest of the event. The singers, including Abdur Rauf, Ustaad Hussain Bakash Gullu and Ustaad Saleem Haider, performed the duties of judges in Folk Music Competition. Lahore Art Council (LAC) Executive Director Ather Ali Khan thanked the jury members and congratulated all the winners of the contest.
