CHARSADDA: Two persons, including a cop, were killed in separate firing incidents in the district on Friday, police said.
Police said the unidentified gunmen opened fire on a cop, Shah Wali, on Rajar bypass, killing him on the spot. They said that the slain cop was a driver and was posted at the City Police Station.
The funeral prayer for the slain cop was offered at the Charsadda Police Lines. They said the accused managed to escape.
The second incident occurred in the limits of Mandhani Police Station where Abdul Salam and Abdul Jabar allegedly shot dead Riaz Muhammad over a property dispute. The police lodged separate cases and started an investigation.
