Plunderers of public money more dangerous than snakes: Siraj

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said the people who had plundered public money were more dangerous than snakes and scorpions and did not deserve any leniency.
The political parties should point out the corrupt elements within their ranks and hand them over to the law, he said this while delivering a Friday sermon at Mansoorah mosque. He said the corrupt elements were national villains and their ill-gotten wealth lying abroad must be brought back and utilised for public welfare.
He said those who had been bailed out under the NRO and those who had got their loans written off should be arrested and every penny should be recovered from them. He said the black sheep in politics had defamed the politicians at large. Sirajul Haq said the corrupt elite was the root cause of all evils as they had been holding all state institutions as hostages. They had their wealth in foreign banks and also owned palaces in major cities and abroad such as London and Dubai, he added. They are doing business abroad and come to Pakistan only to contest elections. They are not prepared to grant basic rights to the masses, he stressed. These people change parties at will and they did not allow the accountability of each other. Instead, they join hands when there is a need to protect each other’s corruption.
The JI chief was confident that the wave of change that was witnessed in the mountains of Chitral in the shape of JI’s election victory would also have its effect in the Punjab and Sindh. However, he said there was a dire need of electoral reforms. He said the protection of the country’s ideological boundaries was as essential as its geographical borders because nations lived because of their ideologies. A nation who does not have any ideology can not survive longer, he maintained. He said India was our sworn enemy and the people who termed India their most favourite state were also in the dock now. He said the peace in the region would remain a dream unless Kashmir issue was solved. It is high time that the world community realie this fact and take necessary measures for the grant of the right of self-determination to Kashmiris, he added.
India: Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has warned India against repeating her 1965-war blunder against Pakistan saying this time Pakistan armed forces will not withdraw unless India suffers a total defeat. He was talking to the media at Wahdat Road ground after inspecting the preparation for JI’s Azme Nau ( Renewal of determination) Conference to be held on the Defence Day.
Baloch said the nation would celebrate the Defence Day with full zeal and enthusiasm and renew its determination to spare no sacrifice for the defence of the geographical and ideological boundaries of the country. He said that unfortunately New Delhi’s attitude at present was similar to that of 1965 war. Liaqat Baloch stressed the world community to stop India from her provocations and discharge its responsibilities for warding off a deadly war that could lead to vast destruction. He said the JI Conference would be a memorable function at which JI Chief Senator Sirajul Haq would announce his national agenda for an Islamic and prosperous Pakistan. He was confident that a record gathering would attend the event on the important
national day.
