KARACHI: The federal government would appoint the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, following the Sindh government’s suggestion in a day or two, credible sources said.
The CM House sources said the PM’s behaviour was very cordial with the Sindh CM and that was the reason, Murad Ali Shah would receive Imran Khan at the airport at 2:30pm today. The CM sources also applauded the role of governor Sindh and assured their full cooperation.
Sources from the Governor's House said Imran Ismail wanted to take all the stakeholders, including the PPP, on board for the sake of the province and its prosperity. They said for this purpose, the governor Sindh wanted to move forward not only with the CM Murad Ali Shah but also with provincial ministers Nasir Shah and Murtaza Wahab. The Governor's House sources said along with making better relations with the Pakistan People’s Party, PTI would like to take its allies on board too for the prosperity of the province. Meanwhile, the Adviser to the CM Sindh, Murtaza Wahab appreciated governor Sindh for his positive role and said that the PTI had taken a positive decision after recent political chaos in the province that would benefit both the province as well as the country. He said if the governor would continue with his positive attitude, his party would go with him for a long period.
Sources said Imran Ismail may continue as Sindh governor after his positive role in bringing together Sindh's political parties in the last two weeks and Farogh Nasim may not replace him now.
