Five- day festival begins in Kalam

MINGORA: The Summer Festival was kicked-off in the scenic Kalam valley in Swat district Tuesday. Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Hidayatur Rahman inaugurated the festival. Commissioner Malakand Captain (R) Usman Gul, Deputy Inspector General of Police Azad Khan and other civil and military officials were also present on the occasion.

MINGORA: The Summer Festival was kicked-off in the scenic Kalam valley in Swat district Tuesday.
Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Hidayatur Rahman inaugurated the festival. Commissioner Malakand Captain (R) Usman Gul, Deputy Inspector General of Police Azad Khan and other civil and military officials were also present on the occasion.
The festival will be held at two different points, including Usho ground and Mahodand in Kalam valley. Several stalls have been established where various items were displayed. Competitions of deferent games like athletics, archery, traditional dances and horse dance were held on the occasion. Fireworks, car and motorcycle race are other features of the five-day gala.
Meanwhile, the tourists thronged the scenic valley to enjoy the Summer Festival and pleasant weather.
