HAFIZABAD: The Food authority team on Wednesday arrested four persons and recovered adulterated milk from them. The team raided Alipur Road and seized adulterated milk. Later, milk was thrown in fields. However, the accused were reportedly released.
To it, citizens protested against the Food authority’s Deputy Director Tahir Saeed and other officials. When contacted, the Food authority’s sources denied the charges and said that the milk which was thrown was without cream and they were not authorised to register an FIR against those persons who were selling such milk.
VALUABLES LOOTED: Two dacoity incidents were reported here on Wednesday. Amjad Ali along with his three friends was going in a car when four dacoits intercepted the vehicle near Syedwala Jalalpur and looted Rs 150,000 from Amjad. Later, the same dacoits stormed into a petrol pump at Thattha Khairoo Mutmal village and snatched cash from the cashier. They also shot at and injured him on resistance. —Correspondent
