Three robbers held, weapons recovered

Islamabad: Islamabad R­a­m­na police station has nabbed three persons in several robbery incidents and recovered valuables, vehicle and weapons from them, a police spok­esman said.

He said that Islamabad police have enhanced vigilance in the city following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar khan and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed.

Fowling these directions SP (Saddar) Omer Khan constituted police team under supervision of SDPO Shalimar Rana Abdul Wahab including SHO Ramna police station Sub-Inspector Habib-Ur-Rehman, ASI Gul Khan. This team ensured high vigilance in the area and succeeded to nab three persons involved in various robbery incidents at Kashmir highway, Islamabad highway, IJP road and Murree road. They have been identified as Anees Mukhtar, Shahzad and Munwar resident of district Lodharan.

Police team recovered eight snatched mobile phones, vehicle and weapons from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of snatching cash and mobile phones in Kashmir Highway, Express Highway, IJP Road and Murree Road areas. Case have been registered against them in Ramna police station and further investigation is underway.
