RAWALPINDI: Senator Sirajul Haq, central Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), has announced to launch decisive movement against the PTI government on Friday against considerable price hike of essential commodities and increase in basic problems.
Addressing a protest demonstration against dearness and flour and sugar crisis here on Murree Road, the JI top leader appealed the masses to break silence against the government and come out of their homes for protest on Friday.
The JI activists present at the protest demonstration were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the government for failing to arrest price hike. The JI central naib ameer Mian Muhammad Aslam, North Punjab ameer Dr. Tariq Saleem, Rawalpindi ameer Syed Arif Shirazi and President National Labour Federation (NLF) Shamsur Rehman also addressed the demonstration.
Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat would stage protest demonstrations after Juma prayers against price hike and flour crisis on Friday (January 24).
The JI leader said that he was ready to undertake massive movement against the government which had become totally paralysed and unable to deliver to resolve even basis problems of the people. “I will have to give call for countrywide strike against the government which had started staggering within a period of one and half years,” he said.
Sirajul Haq said that menace of corruption and dearness was getting out of control of the government whereas its leaders were continuously giving false statement.
Addressing the Prime Minister, he said those who have been claiming to run country’s affair on the model of state of Madina, have now snatched even a bit of bread from poor masses. “How one can be in comfort in his grave when even a coffin has become dearer,” he said.
