Members of Kohat bar association take oath

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan administered oath to the newly elected members of the Kohat District Bar Association. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Governor’s House here on Wednesday. The bar association President Malik Imad Azam, Vice-President Sameena Khurram, General Secretary Dr Ameer Ajam Khattak and other office-bearers of the association and a large number of lawyers attended the function. He asked lawyers to provide legal services to needy people, saying that legal fraternity played a role in establishing the rule of law. The governor said that the lawyer community had played a pivotal role in the restoration of democracy in the country. “Lawyers always provide wisdom-oriented leadership to the nation in difficult times,” he added.
