MARDAN: Police have arrested nine proclaimed offenders, seven facilitators of various crimes and 32 suspicious people during search operations under the National Action Plan in different areas of the district.
As per directives of District Police Officer Muhammad Sajjad Khan, the police conducted an operation in Garhi Kapura Police Station limits and arrested three proclaimed offenders and nine other suspects.
They also recovered 480 grams charas, one Kalakov, one rifle, four pistols and 93 bullets. The police also checked 50 suspicious houses and records of 90 vehicles through modern digital tools.
Meanwhile, in the Jabbar area, the police arrested six proclaimed offenders, seven facilitators and 23 other suspects and recovering narcotics and weapons as well. The police also recovered one Kalashnikov rifle, 1 rifle, six pistols and 182 cartridges.
A total of 25 suspicious houses and other spots were checked. They registered a case against two unregistered tenants and issues notices to four people for poor security arrangements. Police also checked data of 90 motorbikes, vehicles and several suspicious people. Police registered a case against nine people under sections 107 and 151 CrPC and registered a case against eight people under sections 109/55 and arrested them.
