RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has rescued 22 Students from Lahore Institute of Management Sciences (Lume) from snow hit Rattu area of Gilgit.
"22 students from Lums have been rescued by the Pak Army from snow hit Rattu to Rawalpindi," the ISPR said on Monday. The students had gone for Skiing to Gilgit and were stuck for last five days due to heavy snow and landslides.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of the Army (COAS), directed for immediate heli lifting of the students after the Lums administration approached the Pakistan Army for help.
All students, including 13 boys and 9 girls, have reached Rawalpindi and are on the way to their homes, the ISPR said.
