PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday dismissed the writ petition of Humaira Azam Hoti, the widow of Azam Khan Hoti, filed against the National Accountability Bureau notice that had summoned her for the alleged transactions from her bank account.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel and Justice Irshad Qaiser dismissed the writ petition after hearing arguments from both the sides. Earlier, the court had barred the NAB from interrogating Humaira Azam Hoti for transactions from her bank account till next order of the court. She had filed a writ petition in the PHC, requesting the court to stop NAB from interrogating her, as the bureau did not have a woman officer.
