Woman ‘raped’ by magistrate records statement

SUKKUR: 18-year-old Salma Brohi, who was allegedly sexually assaulted by judicial magistrate Sehwan Imtiaz Hussain Bhutto, recorded her video statement. Salma Brohi had eloped with Nisar Brohi from her house in Sehwan and both had stayed in a guest house. She said on 13th January, her heirs traced them. She further said that later their case reached the police. She said that jurisdiction police later brought her to the senior judicial Magistrate Imtiaz Bhutto’s chamber for a statement where she was sexually assaulted. She told the police and police took her to the Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Medical Science in Sehwan, where the medical report was positive.

She recorded her statement at the District and Sessions Judge Jamshoro, who was conducting an inquiry of the matter on the directives of Chief Justice of Sindh. Reports said that Inquiry Officer District and Sessions Judge, Jamshoro, has also summoned Station House Officer Mazhar Naich and the accused Judicial Officer.
