‘Kashmir Bridge Underpass in Faisalabad to be completed this year’
FAISALABAD: FDA Director General Muhammad Sohail Khawaja has said that the mega project of Kashmir Bridge Underpass on Canal Road will be completed during the current year at a cost of Rs1.28 billion.
He was inspecting the pace of construction work on the Kashmir Bridge Underpass here on Friday. FDA Chief Engineer Shahid Mehmood, Amjad Saeed, NLC Project Manager Syed Saeed Rasool and other officers were present. The FDA DG expressed satisfaction over the construction progress of Eastern side of the underpass and directed that the road of this side should be constructed expeditiously so that one side of underpass could be opened for traffic by the end of this month. He said that all-out measures should be taken for uninterrupted flow of traffic at alternative routes to facilitate the citizens. He said that citizens’ difficulties were being realised and regular monitoring of the construction process was being carried out to complete this project as early possible.
