PML-N worker shot dead in Gujranwala
GUJRANWALA: A worker of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was shot dead by unidentified accused in Model Town on Thursday. Abid Sandhu was present at his house when some men came and shot him dead. City Police Officer (CPO) Gohar Abbas Bhutta visited the crime scene and assured the heirs of early arrest of the accused. He said a team under the supervision of the SP city has been constituted to trace the killers.
CPO SUSPENDS 13 READERS: City Police Officer (CPO) Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta Thursday suspended 13 readers on charges of submitting fake performance reports. Reportedly, the CPO some days ago in a video link with higher authorities has produced the crime figures and performance report of local police before the IGP police. Later, it was revealed that some readers of SPs and DSPs have produced wrong figures in the reports. After an inquiry, the CPO suspended 13 readers, including three SPs readers and 10 DSPs readers and ordered them to report to police lines.
