MC Gujranwala to repair 16 roads

GUJRANWALA: The Metropolitan Corporation Gujranwala will reconstruct 16 important city roads with an estimated cost of Rs 309.567 million, besides purchasing tractors with Rs.3.591 million.

MC Chief Officer Ch Amjad said on Wednesday that on the special direction of Administrator/Commissioner Zahid Akhtar Zaman and in consultation with the elected representatives of the city, these development projects had been finalized and tenders had been invited from the interested contractors. While giving the details of these projects, the chief officer said that the road from Gondlanwala Crossing to ADB Chowk would be reconstructed with Rs 49.814 million and Rs 39.760 million would be spent on the Tuff Pavers along road shoulders on Hafizabad Road. Similarly, Rs 42.417 million would be spent on Chamman Shah Road, Rs 5.597 million on Sialkot Road, Rs 34.570 million on Gill Road, Rs 17.674 million on Shamsi Chowk to Niaz Memorial Hospital and Rs 22.634 million on Asghar Ali Road, he informed. He said that Rs 14.304 million would be spent on Katchery Road, Rs 23.634 million on Tahliwala Graveyard Road, Fareed Town, Rs 9.270 million on Muslim Chak Road to Qila Mallah Singh, Rs 7.841 million on Service Road QDPS, Rs 5.071 million on patch work from Chan Da Qila to Aziz Cross, Rs 1.022 million on patch work on Pasrur Road and Nowshera Road, Rs 13.905 million on Hamilton Road, Rs 14.193 million on Sialkot Road via Popular Nursery to Pasrur Road and Rs 8.424 million would be spent on street Masjid Ibrahim Wali.
