Sugar mills sealed for environmental pollution From Our Correspondent JHANG: Following the Punjab Cane Commissioner’s orders, the district administration has sealed both units of Shakarganj Sugar Mills for causing environmental pollution. On Sunday, DO-C Haroon Rashid and AC Imran Asmat sealed main gates, offices, warehouses and desterilises plants of the mills located on Toba Road and Sargodha Road. It is pertinent to mention here that the mills management owe Rs 550 million to sugarcane growers for the last two years. The growers had staged several demonstrations for early payment of their outstanding dues.
