Team leaves for Iran

LAHORE:A nine-member delegation comprising religious leaders of Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) led by its Secretary General Liaqat Baloch left for a weeklong visit to Iran on Tuesday.
The delegates will hold meetings with Iranian leadership, vice-chancellors of different universities and religious scholars during their stay in the neighbouring Islamic country. They will also visit the residence of slain Iranian top General Qasem Soleimani to express condolence with his family.
The delegation includes Allama Arif Wahidi, Pir Safdar Gilani, Allama Saqib Akbar, Raziat Billah, Tahir Rahim Naqashbandi and Allama Mashhood Salafi. Baloch said the MYC was striving to create unity in the Muslim world.
