5th National Junior U-18 Snooker Championship: Umer, Ahsan march into final

ISLAMABAD: Punjab’s Muhammad Umer Khan and Ahsan Ramzan have marched into the final of the 5th National Junior Under-18 Snooker Championship following semis success at the Pakistan Sports Complex Snooker Hall.

In Monday’s semis, Umer got better of Shehryar Khan (Sindh) 4-0. The frame score was 70-31, 73-43, 106-08 (106), 59-17). His 106 points break was a treat to watch.

In the second semis, Ahsan Ramzan also prevailed over his opponent in straight frames, Ahsan beat M Shehryar Abbas (Pjb) 4-0 (70-07, 63-49, 71-41, 60-1)

Quarter-finals were also played earlier in the day

Results: (quarter-finals): M Umer Khan (Pjb bt Zubair Tahir (Pjb) 4-0 (59-2, 67-41, 60-2, 58-18); Shehryar Khan (Sindh) bt Malik Muzammil Khan (Kp) 4-1 (56-30, 57-52, 35-68, 85-0, 55-43); Ahsan Ramzan (Pjb) bt M. Hamza Ilyas (Pjb) 4-0 (66-44, 83-65, 74-09, 76-48 (64); Muhammad Shehryar Abbas (Pjb) bt Kamran Albert Masih (Kp) 4-2 (50-60, 65-32, 65-03, 62-13, 60-61, 71-30).
