Protest against kidnapping

KHAR: The residents of Haji Lawang area in Bajaur district staged protest against the kidnapping of a local on Sunday.
Led by Awami National Party senior leader Abdul Manan Kakaji, the residents blocked the Peshawar-Bajaur road in protest. They chanted slogans against the district administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Manan, Syed Siddique Akbar Jan, Ismail Shah and others said that unidentified accused kidnapped a resident, Noor Islam, from Haji Lawang area in the morning. They said that their protest would continue until the kidnapped person was recovered. On the other hand, the police acted promptly by raiding suspected places in the area and recovered the kidnapped person while the accused managed to escape.
