Siraj hails PM’s statement
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has welcomed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement that Pakistan would no more become part of other’s war.
A high-level commission should be formed to fix responsibility on those who threw country into the US war that caused country to suffer over 75,000 lives and $120 billion losses to economy, he said while addressing journalists in Quetta Friday at the end of his five-day visit to Balochistan, Mansoora’s press release said.
Siraj also warned that a conspiracy was being carried out to rig 2023 elections and get desired results.
It was the sole reason that masses lost trust in the election process and democracy.
He demanded transparent polls that had become inevitable for saving the country from civil war and putting it on the track of development.
Highlighting the deprivation of the people of Balochistan, he said the past and present governments never made serious efforts for addressing the issues of the biggest province which was bestowed with rich natural resources.
He said the unemployment, poverty, corruption and nepotism had taken deep roots in the province.
The people were worried about the overall situation but the ruling elite seemed least interested to resolve their problems, he added.
About the missing persons’ issue, Sirajul lamented that no serious efforts were made for recovering them so far.
He warned the government against rising public sentiments over the issue of missing persons.
He assured the people of Balochistan that JI would fight for their rights at every forum.
