GUJRANWALA: Following the directives of the Punjab Chief Secretary, Gujranwala Commissioner Zahid Akhtar Zaman Thursday started virtual (live) monitoring of different hospitals, educational institutions and other public service entities across the division.
The purpose of this exercise is to have a live check on the performance, availability of officers and officials concerned and standard of service delivery as well as feedback from the public regarding health and educational facilities. In this regard, the commissioner started monitoring of the DHQ hospital Sialkot from his office at 9:30am AC (G) Tanvir Yasin and SNA Adnan Sajid assisted him in this regard. The commissioner talked to patients coming out of the emergency and got their feedback on the treatment and medicines they got and attitude of the doctors and the staff with them besides having a live inspection of the cleanliness of the wards and the hospital.
While taking notice of different complaints regarding non-availability of some medicines, charging of X-ray fee and other issues, he ordered action on the complaints and vowed that all possible steps would be ensured to raise the standards of service delivery at government department, health facilities, educational institutions and other public service entities with zero tolerance against inefficient, habitual absentees and work shirkers.
ACTION AGAINST ENVIRONMENT POLLUTERS: The district administration Thursday started a mega neat and green derive in all tehsils. AC City Usman Sikander, AC Kamoke, AC Wazirabad and AC Nowhsera Virkan inspected various factories, marriage halls and shops and took action and sealed many factories, marriage halls and shops over the violation of environment regulations and one dish act.
