Operation against illegal housing societies begins in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: The district administration has launched an operation against the illegal housing societies in the district.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Amin Khan said that the administration had launched the operation against about 80 illegal and unregistered housing societies which had occupied the land meant for agriculture purpose. “The administration has decided to register first information report (FIR) against the owners and also asked the officials of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to disconnect the supply of electricity and gas to the societies,” he added. The official said the government had already issued directives to the district administrations in the province to take strict action against the illegal housing societies.
