The University of Karachi registrar on Wednesday announced that the National Centre for Proteomics (NCP) at the varsity has been named after its former vice chancellor Prof Dr Zafar H Zaidi. The registrar said the decision had been made in the light of the syndicate’s resolution which was passed on November 16, 2019. The members of the syndicate had approved the proposal to rename the NCP after Dr Zaidi in recognition of his contributions to the field of proteomics.
