ISLAMABAD: Lahore and Islamabad reached the final of the Inter-Board Girls Hockey event being played in connection with the All-Pakistan Inter-Board Sports Gala at the Bunda Ground Wednesday.
Lahore beat Gujranwala 7-0 while Islamabad got better of Faisalabad 3-0 in the second semis.In athletics, Sahibal Sabi earned top position in the 800-metre race. Sanam Ali (Lahore) finished second.
In the long jump, Sunina took top spot while Amtal Rehman (Lahore) got second position. Sunina Musharraf finished third.Aisha from Sargodha won first position in shot put while Khatija Mehreen (Lahore) and Esha (Rawalpindi) got second and third position. Rawalpindi defeated Lahore 2-0 in the final of the TT event. Earlier, in first semi-final Lahore defeated Sahiwal Board 2-0.
In the second semi-final, Rawalpindi defeated Peshawar Board by the same margin. Peshawar defeated Sahiwal 2-0 to take third position. Intermediate Education Board Karachi and Islamabad will play the final of badminton event. Earlier, in the first semis Islamabad Board defeated Faisalabad Board 2-0
In the second semifinal match, the Intermediate Education Board Karachi defeated Academic Board Abbottabad by the same margin. The final of badminton evebnt will be played Thursday.
