Nauman powers into Indus Pharma Tennis C’ship final
KARACHI: Nauman Aftab moved into the men’s singles final of the 7th Indus Pharma National Tennis Championship at Modern Club here on Wednesday.
Nauman overpowered Nadir Bachani from Hyderabad 7-6, 3-6, 10-8. In the semi-final of under-18 singles, Hasheesh Kumar beat Amin Shafi 6-2, 6-1 and Mahatir defeated Rayan Jawad 6-4, 6-3. In the under-16 singles semi-final, Mahatir won against Yahya 6-7, 7-6, 3-0 (retired).
In the last four clash of under-14 singles, Haidar Ali Rizwan thrashed Zain Ehthasham 4-0, 4-1. In the semi-final of men’s doubles, the pair of Aqeel Shabbir and Murad Khan overpowered the duo of Noor-e-Mustafa and Danish Ramzan 7-6, 2-6, 11-9. In the last four clash of under-18 doubles, the pair of Hasheesh and Rayan beat the duo of Rayan Jawad and Amin Shafi 4-5 (retired).
