SUKKUR: Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Tuesday was presented before the accountability court in the assets beyond means case along with provincial minister Syed Awais Qadir Shah, MPA Syed Farrukh Shah and 18 other accused. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has presented 14 volumes of evidence against Syed Khursheed Shah, his two wives and 18 others accomplices nominated in the reference of Rs1.23 billion assets beyond means case. After reviewing the evidence, the honourable judge adjourned the case till next hearing on January 17 and extended 10 days judicial remand of Khursheed Shah. The judge has also ordered the NAB to bring evidences against 14 others nominated accused of the reference. Advocate Mukesh, the defence counsel, showed his concerns over the late arrival of the NAB team, saying it was amazing that the accused reached in time while the prosecutor was coming late. He claimed that the reference was politically motivated. He said according to the accountability court the trial should be completed within 30 days after filling the NAB reference.
