‘Gilani being politically victimised’

MULTAN: PPP South Punjab information secretary Khawaja Rizwan Alam has said that the government days are numbered.
Talking to The News after the party’s meeting here on Saturday, the PPP leader severely condemned the action against ex-PM Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and PPP senior leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim and said that the PML-N government had launched a campaign against the PPP leadership. He said that the PML-N government had failed in providing relief to the masses. He said that the PPP leadership was being targeted on the charges of corruption in the Sindh, which was injustice. Khawaja Rizwan Alam said the former premier Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani was being victimised politically and the PML-N was continuously retaliating against him and involving him in baseless and false cases. Gilani does not afraid of the PML-N discriminatory actions against him, he assured. He said that the court had exempted Yousaf Raza Gilani to appear but the FIA had issued non-bailable warrants, which shows the government’s biased policies towards the PPP leadership. He said that the PML-N policies were sabotaging the spirit of democracy and creating anarchy in the country. He said that the PML-N government had no plan to handle the sinking economy. The PML-N government had made the prosperous Punjab bankrupt and had failed to deliver, he added.
