LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar has said nobody in his family had ever thought of joining politics, and his brother Zubair Umar had opposed his decision to join the field the most.
He said his brother Zubair had informed his family about his joining the PML-N by telephone. He said he loved playing and watching cricket and that was why he liked Imran Khan as a cricketer.
He was sharing his candid views in Geo News programme Jugnu, to be telecasted today.
Asad said he never repented his decision of joining the PTI. He said a special thing about Imran Khan was that he’s not a politician at all.
In reply to a question, he said if Imran Khan’s wife Reham Khan gets a political slot in the party, that would be dangerous for herself and for the PTI.
He said he would write a book in future titled “Sattar Lakh Se Sattar Hazar Tak” (From Seventy Lakhs to Seventy Thousand).
He discussed in detail his past, present and future and his personal life in a lighter vain with programme anchor Jugnu Mohsin. The programme will be telecasted at 7:05pm on Sunday (today).
