Hasheesh moves into Indus Pharma National Tennis semis
KARACHI: Hasheesh Kumar moved into the semi-finals of men’s singles at the 7th Indus Pharma National Tennis Championship at Modern Club here on Monday.
Top seed Hasheesh defeated Asif Bachani from Hyderabad 7-5, 6-3 in the quarter-final.
Nadir Mirza thrashed Ibrahim Qureshi 4-1, 4-0 in under-12 quarter-finals. In under-18 singles quarter-finals, Rayyan Jawad beat Ghufran Fiaz 6-2, 6-3 and Amin Shafi won against Ashar Mir 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
In the second round of under-16 singles, Yahya Ehtisham smashed Kashan Tariq 6-0, 6-0, Taha Aman beat Rayan Ahmed 6-3, 6-3, and Mahatir overpowered Saim Danish 7-5, 6-3. In the second round of under-14 singles, Hassnain Ali Rizwan from Lahore thrashed Moosa Faisal 4-0, 4-0.
In the second round of under-10 singles, Nael Mirza beat Humza Tahir 4-1, 4-0. In the first round of men’s doubles category, the pair of Noor and Danish Ramzan beat the duo of Amir Mumtaz and Syed Qutub 6-0, 6-2.
