Wife of Rahimullah Yusufzai passes away
PESHAWAR: The wife of Rahimullah Yusufzai, senior journalist and Resident Editor of The News International, passed away here on Sunday after a protracted illness.
Her funeral prayer was offered at 6:30 pm and she was laid to rest at a graveyard in Inzergi in Shamozai village in Katlang tehsil in Mardan district. A large number of people including residents, journalists and government officials attended the last funeral rites for the deceased.
She was the mother of Arshad Yusufzai, Kamran Yusufzai, Taimur Yusufzai, Najib Yusufzai and aunt of senior journalist Mushtaq Yusufzai, Coordinator, Voice of America (VOA) Pashto service Deewa Radio, Hameedullah Jan. She was the mother-in-law of Prof Dr Murad Ali of the University of Malakand and Riaz Yusufzai, Public Relations Officer, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. The Qul for the departed soul would be offered at the hujra of Rahimullah Yusufzai in Inzergi in Shamozai village on Tuesday.
