LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Central leader Ejaz Chaudhry has said that whether it is Model Town tragedy or the Sahiwal incident, sitting government stands responsible for them.
Flanked by party leader Usman Basra and others, in an interaction with media, Ejaz Chaudhry admitted that PTI should not have taken firm stance on the issue on which it had to deviate later. To a question, the PTI leader said that it was a dilemma that judicial system of the country takes a poor man to task but the rich are spared. The PTI leader said the PTI government was committed to provide all possible relief to the population of the country but at the same time, it should also be kept in mind that the PTI inherited the prevailing crisis. He said when PTI came to power, the country was facing severe economic meltdown due to which the government had to seek loan to pay off the previous debts.
Ejaz Chaudhry, while responding to a question about Punjab Chief Minister, stated that under the ‘available stuff’ Usman Buzdar was the best choice. He also said that bureaucracy had to listen to the complaints of the elected members, MNAs, MPAs as it was their duty and part of the government’s mandate.
Ejaz Chaudhry said that focus was being paid on the organisation of the party and hopefully it would come up with good results in the Local Government elections. The PTI workers Ishtiaq Malik, Naveed Ahmed and others were also present on the occasion.
