LAHORE: First Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Junior Tennis Championship will explode into action at Nishtar Park Sports Complex tennis court from January 7 to 11, 2020.
DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, on Wednesday, informed that the players of Under-6, U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-18 age group categories will participate in the 5-day grand championship.
“The game of tennis is quite popular among young generation and that’s why we are making it a part of our Annual Sports Calendar. We are quite upbeat to get several fresh talented players from First SBP Junior Tennis Championship”.
Aulakh further said Sports Board Punjab is providing best sports facilities to talented players across the province. “We are planning to host maximum number of sports events during the year 2020 to provide sufficient opportunities to young players of the province,” he added.
Meanwhile, Secretary Sports Punjab Ehsan Bhutta spent a busy day and chaired two key meetings at his office at Punjab Stadium on Wednesday.Bhutta presided over the first meeting regarding youth affairs at his office. DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Director Admin Javed Chohan, Deputy Director Planning Rauf Bajwa and other officials also attended the meeting.
Important matters regarding youth affairs, e-Rozgar, e-Library and Youth Centre were discussed during the meeting.In the second meeting, Pak-Korea Friendship Association discussed different ways and means to promote sports between the two countries.
