Shahid Rasul made pro VC of JSMU
Eminent surgeon associated with the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Prof Dr Shahid Rasul has been appointed as the pro vice chancellor of the Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), according to a notification issued by the Sindh government on Tuesday.
According to notification issued by the Secretary of Universities and Boards of Government of Sindh, Muhammad Riazuddin, the new pro VC has been appointed for a period of four years by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah under section 159(1) of the Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi, Act 2013, as amended by Sindh Universities and Institutes Laws (Amendment) Act 2018.
Officials says Dr Rasul has been associated with the JPMC for the last 26 years and the JSMU since 2016. He is a professor of surgery at the JSMU.
