Ghazanfar Ali, Asad Niaz clinch titles at Maple Leap Pakistan ITF Seniors Tennis
KARACHI: Ghazanfar Ali and Asad Niaz clinched titles at the 34th Maple Leap Cement Pakistan ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championship in Lahore on Tuesday.
Ghazanfar won against M Babar 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 in the 60-plus singles final.
Asad smashed M Saeed 6-0, 6-0 in 65-plus singles final.
The 70-plus singles final will be played between Najam Naveed and Pervez Bajwa.
In 35-plus singles semi-finals, Usama Waheed got walkover against Haider Khan, while Zohaib Raza beat Mehboob Waheed 3-6, 6-1, 7-6.
In 40-plus singles semi-finals, Talha Waheed thrashed Humayaun Javed 6-1, 6-4 and M Shakeel overpowered Shehryar Salamat 5-7, 6-4, 6-1.
In 45-plus singles semi-finals, Rashid Malik smashed Sajjad Rasul 6-2, 6-2 and Faiz Hasan (UK) was beaten by Hassan Said 2-6, 0-6.
