FAISALABAD: DBA’s former secretary general Rohail Zafar on Friday forced his entry into the Conference Room of the Commissioner Office and disrupted the commissioner’s video conference.
Disrupting the meeting, the lawyer asked Commissioner Ishrat Ali to listen his grievances. To it, the commissioner asked him to wait for some time at his office after the conference. However, the lawyer said that he wanted to discuss a serious matter with him which should be listened first.
Interfering into the matter, Additional Commissioner (Coordination) Mehboob Ahmad convinced the lawyer and brought him to his office and listened to his grievances. However, the lawyer became furious and came out of the office and allegedly used abusive language against the officers.
The police officials performing duty there tried to convince Rohail Zafar but to no avail. To it, the police took him into custody for further appropriate action.
Earlier, the lawyer had also visited the FDA Office on Thursday where he exchanged harsh words with Director General Sohail Khawaja claiming the official was giving favour to his opponents and making the land sold to the FDA City controversial by taking departmental action.
The lawyer asked the FDA DG that he should settle this issue. However, the DG refused to do so, saying that the matter was under-trial in a court and he would review the matter according to the verdict of the court.
