LAHORE: Bahawalpur, Islamabad, Okara, and Peshawar were the winners of the respective matches on day two of the National Bank of Pakistan T20 Blind Cricket Trophy (Grade-1) being played at Bahawalpur.
At Dring Cricket Stadium, Bahawalpur beat AJK by eight wickets with match-winning performance coming from Moeen Aslam, who was later declared the man of the match.
Moeen hit 86 runs to guide his side home in the last over of the innings.
Earlier batting first AJK posted 161 for loss of 2 wickets in allotted 15 overs. Nisar Ali contributed 79* while Tehseen B1 also scored 50. Bahawalpur chased the target of 162 for the loss of 2 wickets in last over of the innings. Moeen Aslam’s 86* consumed 43 balls, Muhammad Rashid made 35.
At Sadiq Public School Islamabad defeated Karachi by 10 wickets. Karachi batted first and made 88 in allotted 15 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Tahir Ali made 19. Hasnain Shah and Nisar Awan claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Islamabad chased the target in just 5.5 overs without any loss. Sohaib B1 made 42 and Anees Javed made 39. Sohaib was declared Man of the Match.
Okara overpowered Gujranwala by 49 runs at Dring Stadium. Okara batted first with Badar Munir scoring 122. Iftikhar Tiger made 50. Okara posted 199 runs in 15 overs for the loss of 1 wicket.
Gujranwala, in reply, could able to post 150 in 15 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Muhammad Akram scored 41. Iftikhar Tiger took 2 wickets. Man of the Match award went to Badar Munir.
At Saqid Public School Ground, Peshawar defeated Lahore by seven wickets. Lahore batted first made 125 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 15 overs. Matiullah scored 77 and Kamran made 17. Mohsin Khan was the star with the ball, he took 4 wickets.
Peshawar in reply, reached home in 14 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Haroon Khan and Safiullah made 47 and 44 runs respectively. Mohsin Khan was named Man of the Match.
