Christmas celebrated across Sindh
SUKKUR: The Christmas festive was celebrated on Wednesday with religious zeal and enthusiasm across Sindh, including Sukkur, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Naushahro Feroz and other cities.
The day commemorates the birth of Hazrat Essa (AS) and his teachings of compassion, brotherhood, harmony and forgiveness. Under tight security measures, special services were organised at the churches across Sindh, where prayers were also offered for the prosperity and peace of Pakistan.
The Christians celebrated Christmas by wearing new dresses and the Santa Claus distributed gifts among the children. They had also decorated churches and homes. After the church services, members of the Christian community visited friends and relatives and distributed sweets and cakes and held feasts.
