DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A senior official said on Wednesday that work on land and estate digitisation was going on with fast pace.

“About 10 out of 55 villages have completely been computerised,” Commissioner Javed Khan Marwat said while opening the digital service delivery centre here.

The commissioner said the initiative would facilitate people of Dera in the procurement of land and estate related information and services.

On the occasion, Javed Marwat visited different sections of the centre. He was flanked by Member Provincial Assembly Faisal Amin Gandapur, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Umair, Additional Deputy Commissioner Noor Alam Mahsud and other officials. The administrator of the database delivery centre briefed the dignitaries about different categories of services available at counters in the centre. Javed Marwat, while talking to local media persons, stated that as per SMBR direction, 121 mozajaat (villages) have been identified across the district while 55 were to be digitised. He added that 10 of them have completely been computerised so far, which included Moza Sohna Shah, Rakh Zandani, Misranwala, Daulatpur, Mehrbeg, Rakh Cheena, Gharoka, Ghafora, Dadu Shumali, and Nawab Patafi.

The official said that people had lost confidence in the Revenue Department because of the conventional manual maintenance procedure of land records. He said that now the procurement of fard, transfer of property and other matters would be handled under the same roof.
