Two killed in fog-related accidents

KASUR: Two persons were killed in as many incidents due to heavy fog here on Monday.

In the first incident, a speeding car hit a motorbike driving by Muhammad Sajid near Pattoki police station on Multan Road. As a result, Sajid died instantly. In the second incident, an unidentified car ran over a pedestrian near Dolaywala Bridge on Depalpur Road in the limits of Sadar police.

MAN HELD FOR KILLING EX-WIFE: Allahabad police on Monday arrested a man who was allegedly involved in the murder of his former wife.

The police had recovered a dead body of a woman from a house in Allahabad some five days back. The woman was later identified as Yasmin. The police claimed that accused Mukhtar, former husband of Yasmin, had allegedly strangled her while she was alone in her house. The police said that the woman had contracted second marriage, which infuriated the accused. The police claimed that the accused had confessed to commit the crime. The police have registered a case on the complaint of Mahmood Ali, second husband of the victim.

MAN ARRESTED: Pattoki police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor boy at Jodh Singhwala village. According to Additional SP Rashid Hidayat, the accused took the child to his house and allegedly sexually assaulted him.
