CJP dismisses ex-Patwari’s plea against removal
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Monday dismissed an appeal filed against the removal of a Patwari in Punjab.
Heading a two-member bench and hearing the first case as Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed dismissed the appeal filed against the removal of Patwari Muhammad Nawaz and held that he was found guilty of misconduct by violating the court order.
The counsel for Nawaz submitted before the court that the whole shift of burden was placed on his client despite the fact Gardawar and Tehsildar were also involved in the instant matter.
The Chief Justice, however, observed that the record pertaining to Gardawar and Tehsildar was not before the court and said Patwari Muhammad Nawaz was found guilty of misconduct by violating the court order.
As per the case, Patwari Muhammad Nawaz was removed from his post in 2012.
