KARACHI: The PHF dispatched the invitation letters for its congressional meeting to all members on Tuesday.
It said that an extraordinary meeting is to be held due to resignation of Akhtar Rasool from the position of PHF president. The meeting will be held in Islamabad on Thursday (tomorrow).
A source said that PHF staff had also sent text messages to the members and telephoned them to get confirmation of their participation. Brig (Rtd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar has been nominated for the post of PHF president. He is to be confirmed by the congress.
Informed sources said that Auditor General of Pakistan office has informed PHF that it wanted to audit its earnings from Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP).
The sources said that Auditor General of Pakistan office wanted to start the audit as soon as possible. PHF, taking advantage of the situation created by the resignation of Akhtar, said it was busy in preparation for the congress meeting.
However, officer Raqeeb Satti who conducted the audit of PHF in Lahore arrives in the city on Wednesday (today) to begin HCP’s audit. HCP is the only source of PHF income in Karachi with its shops, offices and godowns.
