Shahbaz orders modern hospital in Murree

On the instructions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the Punjab government, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed to construct a state-of-the-art hospital in Murree. This hospital will not only provide best healthcare facilities to the locals but also help in promoting medical tourism in Pakistan.
This was stated by Secretary Health Punjab Jawwad Rafique Malik while visiting Murree in search of a suitable site for the construction of proposed hospital, according to a handout issued here Tuesday.
The secretary health informed that the chief minister had constituted a committee to search suitable site for this purpose.
He said the committee had started visiting different points in Murree and as soon as the suitable piece of land was identified the construction plan of the hospital would be presented to the chief minister. He said that provision of best medical treatment to the people was the priority of the government and revolutionary reforms were being introduced in the health sector.
He said that primary and secondary healthcare system was also strengthened by ensuring presence of doctors, availability of medicines and special focus on mother and child health programme and preventive health.
