Man dies under mysterious circumstances

LAHORE:A 20-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances in the Kahna police limits on Wednesday.

Police removed the body to morgue. The victim has been identified as Basharat, a resident of Kahna. Police reached the scene after being informed and collected forensic evidence.

The family of the victim said his condition went critical after which he was rushed to hospital where he died. Police said the autopsy and other evidences would help ascertain the cause of his death.

Woman hit to death: A 30-year-old woman lost her life and another woman and a two-month-old child got injuries when a speeding car hit a rickshaw on Canal Road near new bridge Fateh Garh here on Wednesday.

Upon being informed, the rescuers rushed the spot and shifted the injured to a local hospital where one of the women, yet to be identified, succumbed to her injuries. Police shifted the body to morgue.

Nine killed in road accidents: Nine people were killed while 864 injured in 842 road accidents in Punjab during last 24 hours.

Out of the total injured, 513 were shifted to different hospitals, whereas, 351 were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams, said a spokesman for Rescue 1122 here on Wednesday.
