PESHAWAR: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has planned to widen taxpayers net in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It directed the regional commissioners to seek the support of the business community and media to play an active role in boosting up the national economy. Speaking at a meeting of commissioners in-land revenue at the regional tax office in Peshawar on Monday, the chief commissioner in-land revenue of Peshawar Sardar Ali Khwaja said that all the relevant officials should strictly follow the government policy to achieve the tax targets. On the occasion, the commissioners-in-land revenue Dera Ismail Khan zone, withholding zone, and other officials of the RTO were appreciated for playing role in increasing the tax net in their respective jurisdictions and stressed the need for further stepping up their efforts. According to a spokesman for the RTO Habib-ur-Rehman, the meeting devised a comprehensive plan to strengthen the tax net in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
