He said this at the inauguration of Commissioner Karachi Cricket Cup 2015 at National Stadium on Monday.
He said Karachi had a right to have two teams in the domestic cricket on the basis of numbers of players in the city as well as the talent they have shown.
He said the city is the largest city of the country and it is the biggest cricket nursery of the country. Its players have made the country proud on numerous occasions, he said.
He said he would personally talk to the Chairman of the PCB to resolve this issue.
Test cricketers Danish Kaneria, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Wasim Bari and international all-rounder Anwer Ali were also present on the occasion.
Those who spoke on the occasion included KCCA president Prof Ejaz Farooqi, secretary Shafiqur Rehman Kazmi and organising secretary Jamil Ahmed.
